Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Draughtsman specializing in sheet metal to join our team in Texas, focusing on assembly and enclosure designs for critical power and battery systems. This role emphasizes creating precise technical drawings and 3D models for sheet metal assemblies used in battery enclosures and power systems. Candidates with a background in batteries or critical power applications are highly preferred, as familiarity with these systems is essential for successful collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models for sheet metal assemblies, enclosures, and structural components specific to battery and critical power applications.
• Collaborate with engineering, product development, and manufacturing teams to ensure all designs meet functional, safety, and performance requirements.
• Generate comprehensive assembly instructions, component layouts, and specifications, optimizing for clarity and production efficiency.
• Adapt and modify designs to accommodate evolving project requirements and industry standards in battery or critical power enclosures.
• Ensure all designs adhere to best practices in material use, assembly processes, and cost-effective manufacturing.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute technical expertise, ensuring designs align with critical power industry standards and customer needs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Draughtsman specializing in sheet metal, ideally within batteries, critical power, or related industries.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent), with strong skills in 3D modeling.
• Understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements for enclosures in critical power or battery systems.
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques, material properties, and assembly best practices.
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities and an ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical team members.
