Job Summary

Supervises production employees in the producing of RTE chicken/beef products.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications (Required)

  • 2+ years of food manufacturing experiencerequired
  • Protein Manufacturing and/or RTE experience strongly preferred
  • Ishida scales/Pac-mac bagger experience a plus
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous Supervisor experience with oversight
  • Strong organizational skills for maintaining documentation and scheduling trainings.


Key Responsibilities

  • Enforce safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods.
  • Read and analyze charts, production schedules, and other records and reports todetermineproduction requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
  • Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
  • Plan andestablishemployee schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
  • Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
  • Demonstrate equipment operations and work and safety procedures to new employees or assign employees to experienced workers for training.
  • Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problemsandorcomplaints.
  • Understand specifications and company policies and procedures for workers.
  • Maintain operations data, such as time, production, and cost records, and prepare management reportsofproduction results.
  • Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
  • Recommend standards, budgets, production goals, and rates, based on company policies, equipment and labor availability, and workloads.
  • Requisitionmaterials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services.
  • Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions.


Physical Demands

Employees must be able to stand, walk, or sit; use their hands for tasks; reach with their arms; and communicate verbally. Occasional lifting or moving of objects is necessary, along with close, distance, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Additional requirements for this position include:
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb stairs and walk long distances (1-3 hours per day)
  • Work in hot (above 90°F) or cold (below 32°F) conditions
  • Reliable transportationrequired
