Job Description Job Description POSITION TITLE: Associate Professor for Business AdministrationThe instructor is responsible for planning, preparing, delivering, and evaluating asynchronousand synchronous instruction and related activities. In addition, the instructor performs otherduties as directed by the Dean of the Division of Professional Studies. The appointment is a fulltimetenure track position for nine months.QUALIFICATIONS:1. Ph.D. or DBA in Business Administration from a regionally accredited institution2. Ability to use instructional technology, including basic LMS features and virtual meetingsoftware3. Has online teaching experience or training in asynchronous and synchronous onlineinstruction4. Possess a record of teaching excellence5. Possess a record of intellectual contributions6. Corporate experience preferred7. Quality Matters or equivalent online teaching certification preferredRESPONSIBILITIES:1. Teach assigned courses as specified in the schedule and course contract2. Prepare course materials as needed, including revising and developing the curriculum.3. Provide students with syllabi that delineate course objectives, learning outcomes,teaching methodology, attendance policies, textbooks, reading assignments timelines,evaluation criteria, and other deliverables4. Use the University learning management system to post syllabus, assignments, and othermaterials and to communicate with students.5. Deliver course content using a variety of teaching styles that are exciting and engagingwith assignments that demonstrate the real-world applications of concepts covered6. Observe and evaluate students' performance7. Maintain virtual office hours and consult with students by online platforms, phone, andemail with the general expectation of responding to students within two business days8. Maintain records of enrollment and attendance, assessments, and grades; submit classrosters and grades by the University deadlines.9. Encourage students to submit course evaluations, review course evaluations whenavailable, and use feedback to improve course delivery.10. Revise and update course content as requested.11. Provide the Dean or Program Chair with an update on all aspects of the course progress.12. Assist Program Director and Dean in the collection of assessment data for the onlineprogram13.
