More information about this jobPosition Summary: This person acts as the lead electrical engineer on projects and directly supervises the work of the other engineers and designers on the project. This person also interfaces with the customer, other disciplines, and equipment suppliers.Duties and ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and confer with other disciplines during project execution to implement procedures, resolve design issues, and provide technical informationPerform and supervise electrical engineering design activities on projects within the scope of the project schedule and the projected man-hoursRead and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and reportsProvide project update reports to Project Engineering and Project Management, as neededProvide estimated costs for engineering and equipment for proposed projectsSpecify and recommend equipment that must be used on each projectAssist in the procurement process for equipment and other items on each project within the scope of the project standards, specifications, and budgetEnsure that the electrical engineering work on each project is completed in a cost-effective and timely mannerAssist as needed in new business development and have a general understanding of contractual requirementsProvide technical customer service as requiredKeep current in applicable design codes and standardsLead in the teaching and training effort of entry level engineers and less experienced engineersAll other related duties as required and assignedPosition Requirements15+ years of experience5= years of supervision experienceBSEE DegreeMust be able to travel both nationally and internationally as assignedMust be able to work the standard office hours in a work week and work as necessary to complete projects within project scheduleMust have physical ability to enter and maneuver in a jobsite environmentMust hold at least a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited universityKnowledge, Skills, CredentialsMust have good communication skills, both oral and written, and knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and proper spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammarMust have knowledge of design techniques, tools, software, and principles involved in interpretation and production of technical specifications, drawings, and modelsMust have computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Power Point, as well as the technical ability to operate Engineering Design Software, as neededShould have at least 10 years related experience in the Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, and Construction (EPFC) industryShould be a Licensed Professional Engineer or be eligible for licensure in at least one State and be able to obtain licenses in other States as requiredShould be a member of a technical society in an area of engineering related to the discipline in which a license is held#J-18808-Ljbffr
