Learn more at: www.techserv.comPosition OverviewUnder general supervision, the Transmission Line Engineer is primarily responsible for using proprietary CAD software to design overhead and underground transmission lines, ensuring that all industry regulations and client standards are followed.In this role, you will be required to identify scope of work details, develop cost estimates with limited available details, analyze design factors such as line clearances, incorporate changes from as-built documentation, and more.Duties & ResponsibilitiesCreate cost-effective designs for high voltage electrical transmission lines [69kV to 765kV]Prepare detailed cost estimates and other deliverables, per client requestsMaintain a high degree of professionalism in all interactions – with peers, supervisors, clients, vendors, etc.Other duties as assignedQualifications & RequirementsBachelor's degree (required) or Master's (preferred) in one of the following fields: civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or other relevant STEM field.2+ years of experience in the utilities sector2+ years of experience with PLS CADD or similar program(s)Advanced communication skills (verbal and written)Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools suite, especially ExcelCompleted FE or EIT certification is strongly preferredValid Driver's LicenseEligibility to work in United States of AmericaPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentProlonged sitting and standing are requiredOccasional need to lift, pull, carry and push items weighing up to 50 poundsRequires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and company and client needsEmployee BenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision, and Life insurance offered401(k) with company matchPaid Time Off9 Paid Company Holidays #TS25#J-18808-Ljbffr
